VEEDE4- ROOT <br />CFB 2018-02A <br />Continuing Education Bulletin <br />Protection Teajj <br />zTmnc 3-0;-2-014 <br />This Continuing Education Bulletin provides additional information to Veeder-Root service network and <br />technicians regarding Overfill Protection 'f'estinctihci–l-L--S-45(}P4=U-4;-arid TL�4-l-thorxnet�nd-SM�T4a-9atui,>. <br />Scope: <br />..orae: <br />This document will rovide a Veeder-Root ATG certified technician a roceclure to safel test Tank <br />Overfill Protection. <br />Consoles: <br />TLS-450PLLJS, Tl _S4c, TLS4i, 1 -LS -450 and TLS3XX <br />Requirements: <br />TLS-450FLUS,_TLS4c, TLS4i, TLS -450; Automatic Event: Device Task programmed to trigger on Tank <br />Overfill and close a rely y feeding volts e to the Overfiil Alarm Device <br />TLS-3XX: Output Relay programmed to close a relay_on a Tank Overfill alarm feeding voltage to the <br />overfill Alarm Device <br />Procedure: <br />1. Inspection <br />a. Verify the levels in the tank to Makesure there is proftrt in the tank and that the tank is <br />enabled <br />b. Clear all tank alarms and other alarms which ffigy affect the Overfill test <br />c. If the site is currently receivinc a delivery wait until the delivery is comp€e#e <br />d. If the tank is Rerforrmming a SLID Tank test, stop the test <br />2. Preparation <br />a. Turn Alarm f€Iterin off this will allow you to clear alarms gUicker <br />b. Program Delivery delay to 1 minute, this will allow the delivery to be completed quicker <br />i. Mote the customers original vzlue, so you can restore it after the test <br />G. Print the Tank Inventory Re ort <br />d. Test the relay assigned to the Overfill device to insure the overfill device works <br />i. If the Overfill device does not sound, repair the device before continuing testing <br />3. Testing -- — <br />a. Turn off power to the console <br />b. Disconnect the probe from the field wiringand remove it from the riser <br />i. If you are testing more than one tank remove all the probes from their risers <br />c. Lay the probe safer on the ground and reattach the field wiring, <br />d. Position the water float at the bottom of the probe and theproduct float 25% up from the <br />bottom of the probe. - <br />e. Power the console back on <br />f. S€mulate a delivery <br />i.
