4-30-93
DEAR SWIC OCCUPANT:
RECEIVED
mAY 1 8 1993
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PgRM IT,PgRVIPFg
We have just been notified by our lab that their
analysis for the most recent testing of the well water
indicates that the MCL level has been exceeded.
Caution dictates that the water not be used for
drinking until further tests can be conducted next
week; water can be used for other purposes. We are
asking that you notify all your employees not to drink
the water and that you post the attached warning signs
above all drinking faucets. If you recall, several
years ago a quarterly monitoring report on the well
also indicated levels above the MCL which upon
re-testing proved to be a false positive reading. We
hope that this will once again prove to be a
laboratory error. Unfortunately it will require at
least a week to determine this. Therefore, we will be
providing you with bottled drinking water until we
have further information concerning the drinkability
of the water. We will update you on the situation as
soon as we have more definitive data from the
laboratory and the county.
On Monday (Saturday if you are open) we will deliver
an initial supply of bottled drinking water. Please
do not throw away the empty containers, since we will
be coming by every few days to pick up the empty
containers for refilling. If this is proving not to
be frequent enough for your needs, please let Mr.
Thompson know at 477-3886. Your patience and
cooperation will be appreciated. We regret any
inconvenience you will experience and will resolve
this as quickly as possible given the required testing
time.
MARLOWE PROPERTIES
