In their opinion it is
possible that the contamination was due at least in part to
disposal of industrial wastes into shallow injection wells at the
site. We intend to investigate the injection wells, but before
we do so I want to confirm that the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board is not planning any similar investigations
at this time.
Please let me know within 30 days if the Regional Board is
planning any action on this case.
Sincerely,
Doris Betuel, Chief
Groundwater Pollution Control Section
cc: Mary Meays
San Joaquin County Division of Environmental Health
FEB c. 4 1994
Printed on Recycled Paper
