Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Borges:
Effective on or about January 3, 1994 the property
located at 4630-4698 E. Wate-..-lor, Road owned by Melvin
and Sylvia Marlowe began receiving all its water from
California Water Service following our installation of
a main extension to the property. At this time both
the plumbing and electrical connections to the
domestic well on the property were disconnected. In
the following week our tenants were instructed that
the water on the property was now safe to drink and
that they no longer would be receiving bottled water
from us as they had over the past year. On 1-20-94
the backf low device for this new water supply system
was certified by Stead Backf low Prevention Services.
On December 6, 1993, Diane Hinson of the Environmental
Health Division was provided a copy of the original
"Water Well Driller's Record" in order to determine
whether this domestic well might be converted into an
additional monitoring well as part of the ongoing
remediation project at this site. Though we have
spoken about this subsequently, I have not yet heard
whether we should destroy this well or convert it to a
monitoring well. Please consult with Ms. Hinson and
let me know which direction you would advise. Also
please notify any other regulatory agencies which
should be informed of the above changes.
Sincerely yours,
pe-4,a4- 'KW -Kore,-
onathan Marlowe
JM:ce
cc:Hinson
