(Twining) has prepared this letter report to summerize the sampling
and analytical procedures and present the analytical results for sampling of the surface and imported
fill soil at the above referenced site. The purpose of this investigation was to assess the imported
fill material; which had been placed on-site, for potential impacts from constituents of environmental
concern. This investigation was preformed solely at the direction of the Lodi Unified School District
(LUSD) and was not done at the request of any regulatory agency.
This work was commissioned by Mr. Robert Silvano, Construction Project Manager for Lodi
Unified School District (client). Mr. Silvano can be contacted at 1305 East Vine Street, Lodi,
California, telephone number (209) 331-7219. This investigation was conducted and this report
prepared by The Twining Laboratories, Inc. (Twining), Environmental and Geological Services
Division.
BACKGROUND
It is Twining's understanding that fill soil was imported to the site at 9505 North West Lane in
Stockton, California to backfill an area that had been over-excavated during construction activities.
The LUSD reported to Twining that the excavation covered an area approximately 300 feet long by
80 feet wide to depths between 8 and 12 feet below site grade (bsg). According to the site contractor
the imported fill material was placed within the excavation to within 2 feet of the ground surface and
then native on-site material was brought in finish the backfill to surface grade. Sampling and
analysis of the imported fill soil was requested since the source of the imported fill material was
unknown.
CORPORATE MODESTO VISALIA BAKERSFIELD MONTEREY SACRAMENTO
2527 Fresno Street 5253 Jerusalem Court, Suite E 130 North Kelsey St, #H6 3651 Pegasus Drive, #117 501 Ortiz Avenue 5675 Power Inn Road, Suite C
Fresno, CA 93721-1804 Modesto, CA 95356-q322 Visalia, CA 93291-90300 Bakersfield, CA 93308-6843 Sand City CA 93955 Sacramento, CA 95824
(559)268-7021
Fax 268-7126
(209)342-2061
Fax 579-1480
(559) 651-8280
Fax 651-8288
(661) 393-5088
Fax 393-4643
(831) 392-1056
Fax 392-1059
(916) 381-9477
Fax 381-9478
