West Lane
Stockton, CA 95205
-JUN 0 720D6
CO#: 0024238
Acct ID#: 0017786
RO#: 001793
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed
Limited Site Assessment Work Plan (Septic Tank Area) submitted by Advanced
GeoEnvironmental Inc consultants and has the following comments.
As a result of chemicals being detected in the septic tank located at the above
referenced facility, EHD instructed you to submit a work plan to conduct a
subsurface investigation. This work plan complies with that instruction.
The placement of a soil boring under the septic tank and under the seepage pit
for the collection of soil samples is acceptable. The proposal to analyze the soil
samples for volatile organics by EPA Method 8260B is acceptable. Analysis for
TPH as diesel and gasoline by EPA Method 8015m is also acceptable. The work
plan is approved.
If anomalies are noted in the chromatographs for the laboratory tests, please
include the chromatographs in your report of findings due at EHD at the end of
the soil boring phase. EHD will evaluate the data and advise you if additional
laboratory tests are needed to define the nature of the release.
It is unclear how the liquid waste is being disposed of at this site under the
current conditions. In correspondence dated April 19, 2006 EHD requested
information on all subsurface plumbing at this site. The information was not
included in the work plan. The details (maps, drawings, City of Stockton sewer
connection/usage, other septic tanks, etc) are to be included in the report of the
soil boring data that is to be submitted to EHD.
