SOIL SAMPLING INVESTIGATION
Sampling Strategy
This investigation is intended as a screening-level tool to determine whether petroleum related
impacts to the subject property exist at the specific portions of the property discussed below.
The area of concern is beneath the former underground storage tank.
Sample Locations and Collection Methods
The sampling event occurred on June 29, 2012.
Three boreholes were advanced onsite on June 29, 2012. Approximate locations are depicted on
Plate A2. The boreholes were advanced by hand auger to a maximum depth of 8 feet. In each
area, soil samples were collected by the environmental professional. The sample collected from
the desired strata was placed it into laboratory approved containers, sealed with Teflon, capped,
and labeled. Groundwater was not encountered and therefore not collected. All samples were
observed for contamination. The selected samples were immediately placed on ice and
transported under chain of custody to Enviro-Chem, Inc. Laboratories.
The samples were analyzed for the following constituents of concern:
Soil Sample ID Analysis
B-1 @3' TPHg, Tphd, BTEX, CLHL, Oxygenates, Metals, and PCBs
B-2@6' TPHg, Tphd, BTEX, CLHL, Oxygenates, Metals, and PCBs
B-3@8' TPHg, Tphd, BTEX, CLHL, Oxygenates, Metals, and PCBs
Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) samples (i.e., field blanks, trip blanks, laboratory
blanks) were not used during this project.
ENVIRO ASSESS ENVIRONMENTAL • ENGINEERING • GEOLOGY PO BOX 1154, BONNERS FERRY, ID 83805 PHONE (877) 629-6838 FAX (877) 623-5493
