i
-3-
Plot
Plot Plan Map of Area
The types of structures of the buildings' re noted on ,the Plot Plan.
Distances to structures are noted from the landfill limits The building used
as the ticket office is easily moved as .the site operation is shifted®
The land use is primarily agriculture with some small acreage areas being
developed for homes.
Site Development and Implementation Plan
Harney Lane did not have a site development plan when it was under the
City of Lodi operation. The San Joaquin County Department of Public works has
studied the operation and will work towards establishing an acceptable opera-
tional system. The periodic review of the site will assist in the formulating
of a plan for development.
Drainage Control
The site development plan shows our drainage area to the west. Any run-
off is channeled westerly to Eberhard Road. The runoff is then directed to the
south where it flows into Paddy Creek. The borrow ditch alongside Harney Lane
controls water in this area. The area around the landfill has drainage patterns
already established that will handle storm runoff.
Leachate
The Harney Lane Landfill site has not experienced any accumulation of
leachate® Therefore control and monitoring treatment is not necessary®
Ground water Monitoring
The San Joaquin County Flood Control Department monitors a well at the
south west corner of Harney Lane and Eberhard Road® This is approximately
1,400' west of the Harney Lane Landfill property line The wells in this area
continue to provide quality drinking water to the residents in this area.
Gas Venting
Landfill decomposition that produces gas that should be vented is non-
existent at this site. It is not anticipated that this problem would' occur.
Final Site Use
The proposed land use after closure of the Harney Lane Landfill site is
under study by the Department of Public works When a determination is :made
by San Joaquin County & City of Lodi, we will forward this data to your agency.
