CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT <br /> 17683 Performance This site does not operate under N <br /> Standards. performance standards. <br /> 17684 Intermediate I observed an area of exposed waste V <br /> Cover. adjacent to the wet weather pad and <br /> found its area to be 300 x 300 ft with <br /> a rangefinder . This area was identified <br /> as an intermediate cover area by <br /> Kenneth Belcher, Solid Waste Foreman. <br /> (See slides I.12 - I.18) . <br /> 17685 Final Cover. This site was originally scheduled for N <br /> closure in 1984. The Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB) has <br /> determined this site should improve <br /> drainage and slopes before closure. A <br /> closure plan has been drafted and plans <br /> have been made to add additional fill <br /> and resurface the majority of the <br /> site. Because of the additional work <br /> no area of this site is considered as <br /> having final cover. <br /> 17686 Scavenging. I did not observe any scavenging during C <br /> this inspection. A spotter at the <br /> active face discouraged scavenging. <br /> 17687 Salvaging There was a permitted salvaging C <br /> Permitted. operation at this site. Metals and <br /> white goods are separated and isolated <br /> from active face. Salvaging was <br /> conducted in a controlled manner and <br /> did not interfere with other <br /> activities. See Section 17742.
