Harney Lane Disposal Site
Page No. 7
17673 - Supervision (17648)
Ken Belcher was present and accompanied me on this inspection. I
saw nothing to indicate a lack of supervision at this site. The
LEA and fire authority were informed of names, addresses and
telephone numbers- of the management .
17674 - Site Attendant (17649)
This facility is open to the public and has an attendant on duty
during operation hours ( see slide I-19 ) .
17676 - Confined Unloading
There are two unloading areas at this side on each side of the
working face. One is used for the general public and the other is
for commercial operators. The two unloading areas at this site
were confined to as small an area as practicable.
17677 - Spreading and Compacting
The waste was spread in layers that did not exceed two feet prior
to compaction. I observed waste being spread and compacted.
17678 - Slopes and Cuts
The slope allowed effective compaction by the dozer used.
17777 - Final Site Face (17679)
Ken Belcher stated that there are no final site faces yet .
17680 - Stockpiling
Stockpiling did not interfere with other site activities and was
located adjacent to the active area.
17681 - Availability of Cover
Sufficient cover material was available on site to meet applicable
cover requirements. According to Ken Belcher , the county owns 158
acres adjacent to the south of the facility that is utilized as a
barrow area.
17683 - Performance Standards
The site is not on performance standards ( Section 17683) .
17684 - Intermediate Cover
Ken Belcher identified the site ' s intermediate cover areas.
