Harney Lane Disposal Site <br /> Page No. 6 <br /> 17657 - Entry Signs <br /> Signs were present at the front gate and scale house which <br /> contained the required information ( see slides I-15 through I-18 ) . <br /> 17659 - Access Roads <br /> Access roads were smooth and allowed good site access. No dust or <br /> tracking problem was observed. <br /> 17660 - Internal Roads <br /> Internal roads were smooth and allowed good access to the unloading <br /> area. <br /> 17666 - Sanitary Facilities <br /> Sanitary facilities were available (portable toilets) for the <br /> general public and alternative work program workers. The site <br /> employees have a septic toilet and wash basin located at the <br /> office. <br /> 17668 - Communications Facilities <br /> The telephone available at the site is ( 209 ) 368-4525 . <br /> 17669 - Lighting <br /> Site operations are not conducted during hours of darkness. <br /> 17670 - Personnel Health and Safety <br /> An Analysis of Harney Lane Disposal Site dated April 16 , 1987, <br /> states hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses and leather upper <br /> shoes are to be worn by all employees when on duty. Equipment <br /> operators are required to wear hearing protection when operating <br /> equipment. The LEA does not require any special, safety equipment . <br /> The supervisor made safety equipment and supplies available to <br /> employees. Workers were wearing hard hats, safety vests, gloves <br /> and boots on the day of the inspection. <br /> 17671 - Availability (17646) <br /> I saw no evidence that site operations were impaired by a lack of <br /> personnel.
