California Regional Water -2-
Quality Control Board
SECOND QUARTER OF 1990
County will continue to monitor the detention basin and South
Paddy Creek. If water is discharged to South Paddy Creek,
surface water samples will be taken according to the
specifications of the Monitoring and Reporting Program Number 87-
088 .
Ground Water Monitoring:
The water monitoring report for the second quarter of 1990 is
enclosed. The sampling was performed by California Water Labs,
and contains results for all required quarterly and annual
sampling. The water testing parameters indicate that the
groundwater is still of good quality. Additionally, the reports
contain the required field water level measurements. The water
level depth measurements indicate normal seasonal fluctuations.
The hydraulic gradient and direction of groundwater flow have not
changed appreciably from the last sampling event. A groundwater
contour map is enclosed.
As in the past, MW-4 had higher levels of Chloride, Specific
Conductance, Total Dissolved Solids, and Total Hardness than the
other monitoring wells. Even though, the levels of these
constituents and the Chemical oxygen Demand for MW-4 are slightly
higher than the levels from the previous sampling event, they do
not exceed drinking water standards.
In the sample from MW-2, a level of 1.9 micrograms per liter was
detected for Dichlorodifluoromethane. Although this constituent
was not detected in the previous annual sampling event, the
concentration still does not exceed drinking water standards.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please contact
myself or Tom Horton, Solid Waste Manager at (209) 468-3066.
Sincerely,
- ,C Rudy Rodriguez
Assistant Engineer
Enclosures
LA 11204a
c: Ed Padilla, San Joaquin.
