The County <br /> has the necessary topographic maps and our engineering staff is <br /> preparing the final design, cross section drawings and phasing <br /> diagrams to complete the plans. We have also completed a slope <br /> stability analysis and are also preparing the Construction Quality <br /> Assurance Program to accompany the plan report. <br /> The County had planned to have the final Closure-Postclosure Plan <br /> ready for submittal to the Waste Board by September 1, 1990. it <br /> now appears we will not be able to meet our schedule for <br /> submission. <br /> The effort necessary to prepare the Plan and Report to comply with <br /> new closure and postclosure requirements was underestimated by our <br /> staff. Upon reassessment of the balance of work remaining to <br /> complete the Plan it is now estimated that submission will be made <br /> no later than January 1, 1991. <br /> I have recently assumed duties of Solid Waste Engineer for the <br /> County. if you have any questions or comments about the Closure <br /> Plan or schedule please let me or Rudy Rodriguez know.
