Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
From:
David Hitchcock <dhitchcock@harvestpower.com>
Sent:
Monday, April 17, 2017 2:34 PM
To:
Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
Cc:
George Azevedo
Subject:
RE: Inspector Lathrop survey
Dear Harpit,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is David Hitchcock, and have assumed executive oversight responsibilities for
the day-to-day operations at Lathrop, as well as the imminent site expansion. Sam Monaco asked me to assist him in
these efforts based on my recent success in managing high volumes, coupled with a site expansion at Harvest operation
in Woodbine, MD.
In order to answer your request for the latest inventory data, I have pasted a chart below that shows the monthly total
volume figures for the Lathrop facility since September 2016. As you will see, we have reduced the volume on hand by
nearly 12,000 cubic yards during this period, including over 6,000 cubic yards in March. You will also note some up and
down in this chart — we see this at all our sites to some degree and it is likely attributable to collection and mapping
errors inherent to the StockPile software. While we believe StockPile is by far the best technology for collecting
accurate inventories on these types of sites/operations, there is some natural monthly variation and error. I would trust
that the overall trend (an 8% decline) is accurate and moving in the right direction.
Lathrop Total Material
Based on end of month Stockpile Report
Sep -16 Oct -16 Nov -16 Dec -16 )an -17 Feb -17 Mar -17
As you know, much of this "bulge" in inventory is due to the unprecedented rain we have experienced over the last 6-9
months. During the above period inbound volumes held steady when compared to the prior year, however outbound
volumes plummeted 39% due to the inability of farmers to access their fields due to rain. We are hopeful that the
worst is behind us, and that the weather will trend closer to the norm going forward. However, we are and will continue
to take the following measures to aggressively manage this inventory back to within the permitted limits.
%014 f 1I 10
