i SCHEDULE Kleinfelder will coordinate the field work within one week of authorization. The laboratory analysis will require 10 working days unless expedited laboratory turnaround is requested by the client at an additional charge. Our report will be completed within ten working days of our receipt of the analytical data. AUTHORIZATION Attached to this proposal is our firm's standard "Professional Services Agreement." Please note that its terms and conditions are an integral part of this proposal. Receipt of our agreement signed by the client will serve as our firm's formal authorization to proceed on this project. If there is a need for any change in the scope of services or schedule described in the proposal or in the Professional Services Agreement, please call us immediately. Changes may require revision of the proposed fee which will be communicated to you upon assessment of the requested changes' effect on the fee. All terms and conditions indicated in this proposal and in .our agreement will be considered by both parties to be in effect from the effective date of the executed hgreement through completion of the project. The Proposal will remain in effect for 30 days from the date shown on the proposal and therefore shall be null and void unless our agreement has been signed for the work performed. LIMITATIONS Kleinfelder prepared this Proposal in accordance with generally accepted standards of care which exist in San Joaquin County at this time. It should be recognized that definition and evaluation of geologic and environmental conditions are a difficult and inexact science. Judgments leading to conclusions and recommendations are generally made with incomplete knowledge of the subsurface conditions present. More extensive studies, including subsurface investigations, may be performed to reduce uncertainties. If JBH Development wishes to reduce the uncertainties beyond the level associated with this proposal Kleinfelder can be notified for additional consultation. No warranty, expressed or implied, is made. Kleinfelder offers various levels of investigative and engineering services to suit the varying needs of different clients. Although risk can never be eliminated, more-detailed and extensive investigations yield more information, which may help understand and manage the level of risk. Since detailed investigation and analysis involves greater expe�se, our clients participate in determining levels of service which provide adequate information for their purposes at acceptable levels of risk. Acceptance of this Proposal will indicate JBH Development has reviewed the scope of work and determined that it does not need or want a greater level of service than will be provided.
