4.0 Conclusions
The remedial activities were successful in removing TPH-containing soil in areas of the
former sump and reboiler along the eastern extent of the Site and the former production
fluids tanks along the southern side of the station.Excavation and removal of soil
containing TPH was carried out to the extent feasible, given constraints of active equipment
and underground utilities.Former Site equipment has also been removed, and therefore
there are no potential sources from station activities remaining at the Site to cause future
releases of petroleum hydrocarbons.
Groundwater monitoring of remaining wells will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of
the remedial action on groundwater quality and determine whether the Site remediation is
complete and no further action is appropriate, or if additional characterization or
remediation measures are warranted.
SFOILATHROPCOMPLETIONREPORT 12-1-04.DOC 11
