STATE ID #25650 The copy of the Drillers Report received during the 2010 well search contained an illegible location drawing and no location address. SAIC obtained a clean copy of the map from the DWR on June 27, 2012. The property owner was identified as "Melville E. Wilson Co."and the map indicates the well was approximately 300 feet northwest of the intersection of Welty Road and Highway 33 (misidentified as"Lafayette"), 150 feet northeast from the highway. The 1971 Haines Directory listed a phone number for Melville Wilson Co., located at 35100 Highway 33 in Vernalis, which corresponds to the current address of Crop Production Services (CPS). Based on this new information, the well appears to be located on the CPS property and has been added to the Site Vicinity and Well Location Map as Location 8 (Figure 1 and Table 1). STATE ID #125288 The Drillers Report identified the well location address as 3725 Welty Road in Vernalis. No location drawing was included. There are no four-digit addresses currently in the vicinity of the Site. A site visit on June 27, 2012, confirmed that four-digit addresses along Welty Road are only found south of the Stanislaus County line. A property with the address of 3725 Welty Road was identified approximately 2.5 miles south of the Site. However, the indicated township-range-section(3S/6E-34) on the Drillers Report does not appear to correspond to the location of the identified property. Based on the inconclusive information described above, the well was removed from Table 1. STATE ID #052134 The address (35401 Welty Road)provided on the Drillers Report of this well does not correspond to any current address in the vicinity of the Site. The well location sketch identifies the intersection of Highway 33 and Welty Road and indicates two structures identified as "shed" and"house." Direction/orientation is not stated. A site visit on July 27, 2012, confirmed that street addresses ascend from north to south along Welty Road. Based on the current alignment, 35401 Welty Road should be located on the west side of Welty Road, between the former US Can property(35275 Welty Road) and the Stanislaus County line. A review of Haines Directories from the 1975 and 1985 indicate that the 35401 Welty Road address was in use as a residence during that time period, but the address was not listed in the 1990 directory.
