The soil cuttings generated during drilling activities will be placed into Department
of Transportation-approved 55-gallon waste barrels for temporary storage at the site. Water
generated during drilling decontamination, well development, and well purging (prior to
groundwater sampling)will also be placed into waste barrels.
Waste barrels containing the soil cuttings or water will be labeled with the project
name, project number, boring number, matrix type (e.g., soil), date of generation, and depth interval
(for soil cuttings). All disposable health and safety gear worn during field activities will be placed
into 55-gallon waste barrels. Arrangements for disposal will be the responsibility of CPL.
4.10 Health and Safety
A site-specific Health and Safety Plan and descriptions of the chemical and
physical properties of the chemicals of concern are provided in Appendices B and C,
respectively.
