C3EOMATRIX
Additionally, the soil samples collected from ASB-7 were analyzed for CAM 17 metals for
comparison purposes. ASB-7 is located at the east corner of the former pump station, and field
evidence of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil was not observed in the boring. The CAM 17
analytical results of the soil samples collected from ASB-7 would be used as background
conditions to evaluate the potential impact of the three former pump station features (ASB-3,
ASB-8, and ASB-11).
{ Grab groundwater samples were analyzed for TPHd(C10 to C25 carbon range) using EPA
Method 8015 Modified;BTEX using EPA Method 802113; and PAHs using EPA Method 8270
1 SIM. TPHd analyses were performed both with and without a silica-gel preparation procedure.
The water supply well sample was analyzed for TPHg using EPA Method 8015 Modified;
volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using EPA Method 8260; TPHd using EPA Method 8015
Modified; pH using EPA Method 904013; PAHs using EPA Method 8270C SIM; total
dissolved solids (TDS) using EPA Method 160.1; iron and manganese using EPA
Method 6010; and chloride, nitrate, and sulfate using EPA Method 300.0.
The laboratory data sheets and COC records are included in Appendix C.
3.4 RESULTS OF THE ARCOS PROPERTY INVESTIGATION
The lithology, soil data, grab groundwater data, and supply well sample data are discussed in
the following four sections. The analytical results for soil samples are summarized in Tables 6,
j7, and 8 and shown on Figure 5. Grab groundwater analytical results are summarized in
Tables 9 and 10 and shown on Figure 6. The analytical results of the supply well sample are
summarized in Table 11.
._ 3.4.1 Lithology and Hydrogeology
Soil and groundwater conditions encountered at the Arcos property during the October 2003
investigation were similar to that of the investigations-conducted at the Bellini property,as
described in Section 2.4.1. First groundwater was encountered between about 32 and 36 feet
bgs in the soil borings advanced at the Arcos property during the October 2003 investigation.
_l
!J
1:\eaaecns000:X5oil.ODO%5011-03.d« 17
_1
