Data Usability Summary <br /> • Comparability. <br /> DATA USABILITY SUMMARY <br /> The following sections summarize the findings of the data evaluation process. The following data <br /> validation qualifiers were used in the data evaluation: <br /> ualifier Description <br /> E Indicates the reported value is estimated due to associated quality control <br /> results. <br /> J Indicates the reported value is an estimated concentration detected <br /> between the method detection limit(MDL)and limit of quantitation <br /> (LOQ). <br /> A summary of qualified data is provided in Table B-1. Data validation reason codes for all qualified data <br /> with the associated reasons for qualification are also presented and defined on Table B-1. <br /> Precision and Accuracy <br /> The precision and accuracy of field and laboratory QC samples were evaluated. The calculated relative <br /> percent differences(RPDs)for field duplicate and MS/MSD pairs provided information on the precision <br /> of sampling and analytical procedures. The RPDs for laboratory control samples and laboratory control <br /> sample duplicates (LCS/LCSDs)provided information on the precision of the analytical procedures. <br /> Evaluation of the percent recoveries(%Rs) of MS/MSDs,LCS/LCSDs, and surrogates provided <br /> information on accuracy. <br /> Field Duplicates <br /> Sample WFSMW-I-WD-060816 is a field duplicate of sample WFSMW-I-W-060816. TPHd and <br /> phenanthrene were detected in the field sample and field duplicate. The RPD for TPHd in the field <br /> sample and field duplicate was 63 percent. The field duplicate results indicate the samples are <br /> heterogeneous for TPHd(as compared to the other parameters analyzed in the field duplicate pairs). <br /> The heterogeneity may be due to matrix interferences based on the laboratory note that the sample <br /> chromatogram patterns included diesel and an additional pattern that elutes later in the diesel-hydrocarbon <br /> range. The results for TPHd in the samples were qualified"E"because the RPD exceeds the precision <br /> goal of 30 percent. The RPD for phenanthrene detected in the field sample and field duplicate was 0 <br /> percent. <br /> MS/MSDs <br /> Extra sample volume was collected for WFSMW-I-W-060816 for the laboratory to prepare a project- <br /> specific MS/MSD for all analyses. All%Rs and RPDs for MS/MSDs were within the required control <br /> limits,with the following exceptions. The%Rs for naphthalene, indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene, <br /> dibenz(a,h)anthracene, and benzo(g,h,i)perylene were above the upper control limit. The expected bias in <br /> associated sample results is high,but none of the compounds were detected in the samples. Therefore,the <br /> bias was not realized and no data were qualified. The RPD for TPHd with silica gel was 23 percent, <br /> which is above the required control limit of 20 percent. All associated sample results were non-detect for <br /> TPHd with silica gel and no data were qualified. <br /> LCS/LCSDs <br /> A LCS was analyzed with each analytical batch of samples. A LCSD was analyzed for TPHg and BTEX. <br /> All LCS and LCSD %Rs were within the required control limits,with one exception: the%R for pyrene <br /> was above the upper control limit. There were no detections of pyrene in any associated samples, and no <br /> data were qualified. <br />
