GEOTHASE <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> REPORT <br /> Phase IIA <br /> Environmental Site Assessment <br /> Former Karlson Trucking <br /> 9909 East Woodward Avenue <br /> Manteca, California <br /> Project No. 191.2 <br /> October 28, 1998 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Site Setting & History <br /> ' The site is located along the southeastern edge of the City of Manteca, CA, <br /> specifically at the intersection of Moffat Boulevard and Woodward Avenue, at <br /> 9909 East Woodward Avenue. It consists of one triangular shaped parcel <br /> approximately 15 acres in size. The southern approximately 3/5ths of the site <br /> consists of a currently inactive truck service and switching yard. The remainder <br /> of the Property consists of an almond orchard. This land use dates back to the <br /> early 1950's when the service building was originally constructed at the site. <br /> 1.2 Previous Environmental Work <br /> A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment was completed at the subject <br /> Property. This assessment, entitled Phase I Environmental Site Assessment- <br /> Former Karlson Trucking Facility, 9909 East Woodward Avenue, Manteca CA, <br /> and dated August 14, 1998 identified recognized environmental conditions <br /> associated with the subject site. On behalf of the Property owner, Ms. Margaret <br /> Russell, Geo-Phase Environmental Inc. was contracted, to further investigate <br /> these conditions which were: <br /> • A possible former underground storage tank location near the entrance gate <br /> to the site. <br /> • A possible former underground storage tank location between the pole barn <br /> and main repair building at the site. <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
