Ms. Margaret Russell - 2 - 20 November 2000
Based on the shallow groundwater and sandy soils at the site, we assigned an environmental attenuation
factor of 10 at the site. Since no leachable concentration data are available, we conservatively assume
that all the total concentration would leach out. Thus, the leachability factor is 10. The water quality goal
for TPHd is 0.1 mg/l. Using these numbers results in a TDLL of 0.1 mg/l and a TDLS of 10 mg/kg.
Karlson Trucking may dispose of purge water onsite if it contains.less than 0.1 mg/l. The data show that
the drill cuttings contain a maximum of 1 mg/kg TPHd. Therefore,Karlson Trucking may dispose of the
drill cuttings onsite.
If you have any questions, you may call me at(916) 255-3081 or e-mail at isorenp@rb5s.swrcb.ca.gov.

PHIL S.
