Each sample container will then be labeled and placed into an ice chest
chilled to 4°C to await transport to the laboratory under chain of custody
protocol. The water samples will be analyzed as follows:
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TEPH) by EPA method
8015(m)/3510 (water), 4 K-
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline by EPA method 8015(m),
and d X-
• Benzene, Toluene. This boring will be complete o ten feet
below ground surface using a 3.75" diameter hand auger. Soil camp es will
be collected on fi _intervals for geological and possible analytical.
analysis. Samples llwi be collected in 2" diameter by 6" long brass sample
tubes fitted into a stainless steel drive sampler. The handling procedures are
described in section 2.1.2 above. All sampling equipment will be
decontaminated using a three bucket wash system and TSP or Alconox soap.
One soil sample from the boring will be analyzed as follows:
• Total Extractable P leum Hydrocarbons (TEPH) by EPA method
8015(m)/3 water),
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline by EPA method 8015(m),
and
• Benzene, Toluene.
