(AGE). The Report provides
quarterly groundwater monitoring data for the Stoddard Solvent(TPHss) spill near a dry well located on
the property. The Report recommends implementing a TPHss Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for the Soil
Vapor Extraction/Air Sparging (SVE/AS)remediation proposed by AGE in 2002.
The TPHss and onsite River City Petroleum 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) groundwater plumes are
commingled. The 2002 AGE CAP was limited to the dry well spill area and did not address remediation
of the adjacent Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) release site. My 15 September 2003 letter requested
that future remediation proposals, workplans and reports be combined for both sites to address the entire
commingled plume in a cost effective manner. A single document, combining a Site Conceptual Model
(SCM), an Additional 1,2-DCA Investigation Workplan, and a revised Interim Remedial Workplan for
SVE/AS, is requested by 15 November 2003. A revised CAP is requested by 15 December 2003.
If you would like to discuss your site in a meeting with Regional Board staff at our office located at
10365 Old Placerville Road, Suite 210, Sacramento,please contact me at(916) 255-3050 or
bartopj arb5s.swrcb.ca.gov.
james L.
