(AGE) has prepared this site assessment update, with a request for an <br /> extension in the preparation of the corrective action plan(CAP)for the stoddard investigation at 2211 <br /> North Wilson Way, Stockton, California. <br /> The site assessment reports for monitoring well installation and the first ground water sampling event <br /> from the newly installed wells for the stoddard site was completed and submitted to your office, a <br /> brief summary of the.site assessment is as follows: <br /> • Soil samples submitted for bioenumeration indicated low to moderated potential for bacterial <br /> growth-, ground water samples submitted for bioenumeration showed moderated <br /> concentrations of biodegrading bacterial growth. <br /> • With the exception of the southern limit, the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil has been defined in the suspected release area. <br /> • The initial ground water monitoring data indicated moderate concentrations of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons(stoddard)and low concentrations ofthe solvent 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA) <br /> in the ground water samples defined by the current well network.However,the vertical extent <br /> of dissolved 1,2-DCA, and the down-gradient extent of the 1,2,DCA in the lower aquifer, <br /> have not been defined. <br /> • The underground storage tank(UST)investigation being conducted by Foothill Engineering <br /> concurrently with AGE's stoddard investigation has detected the same solvent of concern, <br /> 1,2-DCA, at concentrations as great as 1,500 micrograms per liter(µg/1) at the former UST <br /> 837 Shaw Road,Stockton,California 95215 <br /> Telephone (209) 467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118 <br />
