M
15 October 2002
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0500
area; 1,2-DCA concentrations as high as 470 µg/l have been detected in the deepest well
established for the UST investigation (100 feet bsg). In addition, the concentrations of
1,2-DCA have increased in the samples collected from the deepest UST wells established over
the past three monitoring events.
• The concentrations of 1,2-DCA detected at the stoddard investigation site may be co-
mingled or completely contributed by the former UST release. Additional assessment of the
UST investigation, particularly the solvent 1,2-DCA in ground water, should be completed
prior to any site remediation.
• AGE is requesting an extension of the requested date for the CAP until 02 December 2002.
In addition,AGE is requesting a site meeting prior to that date with the responsible party, the
consultant for the UST investigation and a representative of the Regional Water Quality
Control Board for a formal review of all pertinent geological and chemical data prior to
finalization of the CAP; AGE will arrange the scheduling for the proposed meeting.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at(209)467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
W
William Little
Project Geologist
cc: Ms. Kama Harrigfeld- Herum, Crabtree, et. al.
Mr. Sheldon Heckman - Connell Motor Lift Truck
Mr. Ervin Rifenberg - Foothill Eng.
Mr. Marty Hartzell =RWQCB
Mr. Mike Infurna- EHD
