31 March 2008 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 98-0500 <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br /> Vapor samples from the influent and effluent ends of the SVE unit will be collected on a monthly <br /> basis and submitted to a DHS-certified laboratory for analysis of the following constituents: <br /> • TPH-g/d in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified(CARB TO17); <br /> • BTEX in accordance with EPA Method 8260; and <br /> • Fuel oxygenates/additives: MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME and 1,2-DCA by EPA <br /> Method 8260. <br /> Quarterly ground water monitoring and sampling will be performed at the site throughout the <br /> remediation period to monitor remedial progress. Depth to ground water and dissolved oxygen <br /> measurements will also be collected on a monthly basis to determine if ground water manipulation <br /> (increased DO,depth to water or any concentration of bio-reaction: foam)is occurring as a result of <br /> the SVE system. <br /> 2.8. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Soil remediation/additional ground water remediation results, with conclusions and applicable <br /> recommendations, will be included in quarterly ground water monitoring reports. The report will <br /> include a description of work performed and the results of the soil/groundwater sampling and <br /> analysis; conclusions and recommendations will also be included. The report will be in a format <br /> acceptable to the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Geologist. <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Professional Geologist. Procedures for remediation well installation, above ground/underground <br /> SVE/IAS piping system installation, SVE system re-start-up monitoring period, sampling, <br /> monitoring, maintenance and progress sampling are outlined below: <br /> 3.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> The following procedures will be performed prior to any digging/drilling activities: <br /> • Prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities - Prepared by National Institute for <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
