MRR 31 2000 3: 1OPM GREGG DRILLING 5253130302 P. 3
Mr. Chris Yarnell
April 1, 2002
The CPTISampling holes will be grouted using our support rig. The grouting procedure
consists of either retraction grouting techniques, which permits grouting of the hole
from "the bottom up" as the CPT rods are retracted, or pushing or vibrating a hollow
CPT rod with a "knock out" plug back down the hole to the test hole termination depth.
Bentonite grout is then pumped under pressure as the tremie pipe is pulled from the
hole. Various Regional Water Control Boards have reviewed both of these procedures
and have approved either of these methodologies.
