SPH
removal activities are conducted quarterly (at a minimum) for wells that repeatedly contain SPH
sheen or a measurable thickness of SPH.
The DPE Non-aqueous Extraction Technique (NET) free product removal system and periodic
extraction from monitoring wells removed approximately 6.4 gallons of SPH from groundwater
beneath the Site between October 13, 2011 and January 12, 2012. Approximately 1,777.2
gallons of SPH have been removed from groundwater beneath the Site since May 10, 2004.
SPH removal data can be found in Tables 16 and 17, and field notes from the SPH removal
event can be found in Appendix H.
