Health and Safety Plan, Subsurface Investigation <br />Potential New Court Site, Stockton, California <br />This HASP presents procedures to be employed during all on site work activities. The practices and <br />procedures presented in this HASP are mandatory for all Earth Tech employees (and subcontractors) <br />while engaged in work operations at the site. Earth Tech also requires that all visitors to areas under its <br />control abide by these procedures. <br /> <br />1.2 Classification of Activities <br />The planned investigation activities are considered by Earth Tech to be Hazardous Waste Operations as <br />defined in Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, Section 5192 (a) [8 CCR §5192 (a)]. <br /> <br />1.3 Regulatory Requirements <br />This document provides the overall project site health and safety requirements which must be <br />implemented by Earth Tech during performance of its work. This HASP also meets the regulatory <br />standards established by the Federal Government and the State of California in the following regulations: <br />Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 4 of the California Code of Regulations, Construction Safety <br />Orders <br />Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 7 of the California Code of Regulations, General Industry Safety <br />Orders, with special attention to 8 CCR §5192 <br />The requirements specified in this HASP conform to Earth Tech's Corporate Safety, Health & <br />Environmental (SH&E) Program requirements. In addition, the HASP will be used in conjunction with <br />the Earth Tech Environmental Practices Manual. Procedures referenced as "SH&E" in this HASP may be <br />found in the Earth Tech Environmental Practices Manual. <br />All applicable SH&E procedures are found in Attachment B of the HASP. <br />1.3.1 Earth Tech Safety, Health and Environmental Website <br />Earth Tech's Safety Website is located on the Earth Tech Corporate Intranet, and is available for all <br />Earth Tech employees as a resource for safety information, updates, and procedures.
