Health and Safety Plan, Subsurface Investigation <br />Potential New Court Site, Stockton, California <br />7.2.3 Other On-site Personnel <br />Field personnel are required to inform the SSO of all emergency situations and to abide by his/her issued <br />response actions. Special medical problems of field personnel, such as allergies to insects, plants, or <br />prescription medication, will be reported to the SSO. <br />7.3 Emergency Equipment <br />The following emergency equipment will be available at the site and in proper working condition. <br />7.3.1 First Aid Kits <br />A first aid kit will be present on the site that meets the following requirements: <br />First aid kits will be in weatherproof containers, be approved by the Earth Tech Occupational <br />Physician, meet all regulatory requirements, and be present at all locations where Earth Tech <br />employees are working. <br />Whenever a new first aid kit is assembled, a new Inventory List and Physician's Authorization <br />Certificate will be placed in the first aid kit as part of its inventory. <br />First aid kits will be available at the job site at all times. <br />Personnel permitted to use first aid kits will possess a current first aid card. A minimum of one <br />trained first aid/CPR provider will be present on site at all times. <br />7.3.2 Eyewash Units <br />Eyewash units meeting the latest requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) <br />Standard Z358.1 will be kept at the site. All units will be capable of supplying hands-free irrigation for <br />both eyes for at least 15 minutes at a flow rate of at least 0.4-gallon per minute. <br />7.3.3 Fire Extinguisher <br />A fire extinguisher with a minimum rating of 1A, 10B, C will be available for use at each work location <br />at all times. Site personnel will be trained in the use of the available fire extinguisher type(s), and will be <br />kept aware of all on-site locations of where extinguishers are placed (for access in case of fire). <br />Project 104290.19.01 23 January 2009
