Health and Safety Plan, Subsurface Investigation <br />Potential New Court Site, Stockton, California <br />TABLE 2 <br />HOW TO RESPOND TO MEDICAL EMERGENCIES <br />Emergency Response <br />Inhalation Call for medical assistance. <br /> Workers wearing proper respiratory protective equipment should remove the victim from <br />the contaminated atmosphere. <br /> Voluntary basis only: If the victim is not breathing, administer mouth-to-mouth <br />resuscitation or CPR immediately. <br />Eye Contact Do not rub eyes. <br /> Flood eyes with emergency eyewash solution. Hold the eye open and flood so that all <br />surfaces are thoroughly washed. <br /> Continue washing for 15 minutes while calling for medical assistance. <br />Skin Exposure I. Wash skin with soap and water for a minimum of 15 minutes. All contaminated areas on <br />the body, including hair, should be thoroughly decontaminated. <br /> If clothing is contaminated, it should be removed in a way to minimize further contact <br />with the substance. <br /> Seek medical assistance. <br />Heat Stress Remove excess clothing. <br /> Pour water on the victim. <br /> If the victim is conscious, offer water or Gatorade. <br /> Seek medical assistance. <br />Project 104290.19.01 28 January 2009
