AdvancedGeo
09 January 2019 Environmental
AGE Project No. 99-0559 G
dated 16 November 2018. The historical research indicated that T-5 and T-6 were
discovered during the removal of USTs T-1 through T-3 in January 1999, and that T-5
and T-6 were 5,000-gallon gasoline USTs. T-5 and T-6 were removed in February 1999
and soil samples were collected beneath each end of the tanks under the oversight of
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) and City of Stockton
Department of Fire Prevention. Soil samples collected beneath Tanks T-5 and T-6 were
analyzed for the appropriate constituents in accordance with regulations and
requirements for sampling beneath gasoline USTs.
The historical research also indicated that T-4 (WOT) was removed in January 1999
and one soil sample was collected beneath the tank (T-4) and one stockpile sample was
collected (SP-5). The WOT soil and stockpile samples were analyzed for the
constituents required for sampling beneath waste oil or unknown tanks (TPH-g, TPH-d,
TOG, VOCs, SVOCs, and metals).
Based on the above information and historical research performed, additional soil
sampling and analysis is not necessary in the locations of former tanks T-4 through T6.
The tank removals, sampling, and analytical results for T-4 through T-6 were reported in
UST Removal and Soil Sampling dated 09 February 1999 and Underground Storage
Tank Removal and Soil Sample Analysis dated 25 March 1999 (Appendix C).
Additionally, based on the historical documents and reports reviewed, AGE does not
believe there is an abandoned 7t" tank remaining in-place at the site. The only records
indicating a potential 7t" tank was prior to February 1999, and before tanks T-5 and T-6
were removed. Based on the estimated location of the potential 7t" tank, AGE believes
the tank was mistaken for either T-5 or T-6. Also, there are no records or reports
identifying a 7t" tank during the UST removal activities for T-5 and T-6.
The scope of work will include the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities.
• Soil boring advancement and sample collection.
• Soil boring advancement for installation of soil vapor wells.
• Soil vapor sampling
• Soil boring abandonment.
• Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail below.
