PROJECT REPORT
CASTELLO ESTATES WASTEWATER SYSTEMS
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Introduction:
This report, in total, is the support document for a "Report of Waste Discharge",
Application Form 200, State Water Resources Control Board, for the installation and
operation of a complete Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System to service the
proposed Castello Estates Subdivision located in San Joaquin County, California.
Location:
The proposed Castello Estates Subdivision (Vesting Tentative Map Tract No. 2927) is
located at the intersection of Linne Road and Macarthur Road, to the north of Linne Road
and east of Macarthur Road, in San Joaquin County, California.
Subdivision Size Description:
The subdivision is an eighty three (83) lot subdivision. The proposed lots are one (1)
acre in size. The subdivision is broken down into two (2) phases. Phase #1 consists of
forty nine (49) lots and Phase #2 consists of thirty four (34) lots.
Background:
On June 3, 1999, the San Joaquin County Planning Commission approved Major
Subdivision Application No. SU-99-1 subject to certain conditions. During this meeting
the San Joaquin Department of Environmental Health (Mr. Mike Huggins) made
reference to the potential ground water nitrate problems in the area of the proposed
subdivision. And, a nitrate loading study will determine if the wells are elevating in
nitrate concentration, and that a package wastewater treatment plant may be required for
this project.
