Mariposa Road <br />Stockton, CA 95205 <br />SOUTHERN PACIFIC PIPELINE LEAK, ARCADY OIL DRILLING MUD DISPOSAL SITE, HOLT, SAN <br />JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />We are very concerned with the contamination caused by the recent flooding of <br />the Arcady site and the leaking fuels from Southern Pacific's pipe break. <br />We appreciate actions that have been taken so far to contain and cleanup the <br />problem. <br />Enclosed is a memo regarding the situation at the Arcady Oil site. Southern <br />Pacific and Arcady Oil Company must immediately take all actions necessary to <br />prevent the problem from getting worse and then cleanup contaminated surface <br />water, soil, and ground water at the site. This cleanup must continue until <br />background levels of contaminants are achieved. We will further discuss <br />necessary cleanup measures at our meeting scheduled at 10:00 a.m., 28 February <br />1986 at 31 East Channel Street, Room #115 in Stockton. <br />If you have any que tions, please call Dan Ward at (916) 324-8891. <br />ANTONI K.
