(Partner) is requesting a one-time exemption by providing the
following summary that describes the field activities and methods for temporary borehole destruction
activities conducted at the above-referenced property ("subject property"). This summary has been
provided in lieu of a field inspection that was scheduled to take place on July 10, 2017. Partner understands
that a field inspection conducted by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) is
required and that this situation will not reoccur in the future.
Prior to drilling activities, Partner secured Boring Permit Number 0542041 from EHD. A copy of the permit
is attached. On July 7, 2017, Partner subcontracted with Environmental Control Associates (ECA) (California
Water Well Drilling Contractor License Number 695970) to provide and operate drilling equipment. Under
the direction of Mr. Nathan Maroon with Partner, Mr. Brent Cobb of ECA advanced a total of six 2.5-inch
diameter soil borings (B1 through B6) to a total depth of 15 feet below ground surface (bgs) utilizing a
truck-mounted GeoProbe 6600 direct-push drill rig. Copies of the boring logs are attached. Groundwater
was not encountered during drilling activities. Following sampling activities, each borehole was backfilled
with approximately 2.5 gallons of cement grout (40 pounds of dry Portland cement per boring). Boreholes
advanced in improved areas were capped with concrete and dye to match existing ground cover.
We appreciate your consideration of this exemption request. If you have any questions concerning this
summary, or if we can assist you in any other matter, please contact Joe Mangine at (831) 359-5041.
Sincerely,
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc.
Attachments
800-419-4923 www.PARTNEResi.com
