The containers <br /> were: <br /> 1. IMG-0614. Warehouse. Paint waste drum with an incomplete hazardous waste label. The label is missing the <br /> words"hazardous waste"and does not have an accumulation start date. <br /> 2. IMG_0615, IMG-0616.Warehouse. Hazardous waste drum with an incomplete hazardous waste label. <br /> Accumulation start date on the container is 12-15-2017 but used oil was last hauled from the site on 11-20-20.The <br /> site labeled the composition "used oil"but Mike Belmont stated that the drum also receives spent mineral spirits. <br /> 3. IMG-0516.Assembly Area. One container of waste oil that is only labeled "waste oil". <br /> 4. IMG-0552.Assembly Area. One container of used oil with no label. <br /> 5. IMG-0562. Paint Room. One container of paint waste labeled only"Paint wast". <br /> 6. IMG-0645. Warehouse. One container of paint waste only labeled"paint waste"and"flammable". <br /> 7. IMG-0648. Warehouse. One container of waste only labeled"paint stripper". <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Add all required labeling to hazardous waste containers. Add the correct accumulation <br /> start dates to the drums. Add the complete composition to the used oil drum by adding the words"spent mineral <br /> spirits". Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 704 CCR 66273.33(b) Universal Waste Handler failed to properly manage universal waste lamps. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility is managing universal waste(UW)lamps in a way that does not prevent a release of <br /> waste to the environment. <br /> IMG-0640.Warehouse. The site is storing approximately 100 universal waste fluorescent tubes in an open box. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.33 Universal Waste Management <br /> Requirements for Batteries, Lamps, and Mercury-Containing Equipment <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately place all UW lamps into closed, structurally sound containers with labeling: <br /> "universal waste-lamps".
