PAYNE <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: REVIEW COMMENTS FOR THE PRELIMINARY CLOSURE/POSTCLOSURE <br />MAINTENANCE PLAN FOR THE NORTH COUNTY LANDFILL, Facility No. 39 - <br />AA -0022 <br />Gentlemen; <br />The County has prepared the following responses to the Waste Boards <br />review for the above mentioned plans: The Boards comments will <br />be restated and the response will follow. <br />Closure Plan Elements <br />1. The sign posted ten days after receiving the final waste <br />shipment must indicate where the closure/postclosure plans are <br />kept and can be viewed by the public - Section 17767. <br />Response: The section titled, "Site Security", page 11, has <br />been revised to include the requested information. Five <br />copies of the revised plan report are attached. Please <br />disregard the previous submittal. <br />2. The drainage run-on and run-off systems and collection <br />facilities must take into account the connection with and <br />design capacity of drainage facilities - Section 17778(g)(3). <br />Response: A "Final Drainage1° section was added to the plan to <br />address the run-on and run-off concerns of section <br />17778(8)(3). The drainage calculations and drainage map plan <br />with design points shown were be added as Appendix C to the <br />plan report. <br />
