Date: July 25, 2018 <br />Work Plan for Additional Environmental Investigation, <br />371 South Garfield Avenue, Manteca, California <br />Scope of Work <br />The scope of work to complete the objectives of the proposed Investigation includes the following three <br />tasks: <br />Task 1 - Pre-Field Preparation <br />Task 2 - Drilling, Sampling, and Laboratory Analysis <br />Task 3 - Data Analysis and Report Preparation <br />Task 1 - Pre-Field Activities <br />Pre-field activities include: <br />Coordination of access with the Manteca Unified School District <br />Update the site-specific health and safety plan (HASP) that was prepared for the Phase II <br />work to include the activities described in this proposal. Site personnel, including on-site <br />subcontractors will be required to familiarize themselves with the HASP and sign an <br />acknowledgment that they have read the HASP. The HASP will identify the specific chemical <br />compounds that have the potential to be encountered at the Site. Excerpts from the HASP <br />identifying the chemicals of potential concern, required personal protective equipment <br />(PPE), key personnel and contacts, and nearest hospital and route map are included as an <br />attachment to this Work Plan to be used by SJCEHD. The full HASP can be provided upon <br />request. <br />Visit the Site to pre-mark proposed drilling and sampling locations in the field for utility <br />clearance purposes. <br />Notify Underground Service Alert of Northern California (800-227-2600). USA will be notified <br />at least 72-hours prior to drilling and sampling activities. USA will mark underground utilities <br />in public rights-of-way in the site vicinity. <br />Prior to conducting intrusive sampling, Terraphase will subcontract with a private <br />underground utility locator to mark proposed drilling areas for the presence of underground <br />utilities. <br />Terraphase will subcontract a licensed drilling contractor and analytical laboratory to <br />complete investigative drilling and analytical work. Terraphase will also rent or purchase <br />sampling and monitoring equipment and supplies, as needed. <br />Task 2 - Drilling, Sampling, and Laboratory Analysis <br />The proposed sampling locations are shown on Figure 2. A soil-gas sample will be collected from each of <br />the six locations at a depth of approximately 15 feet bgs. Sample collection and analytical methods are <br />described below. <br />Task 2.1 Soil-Gas Sampling <br />The six proposed soil-gas boring locations are shown on Figure 2.
