(Try to take <br />a picture so identification can be made <br />at a later time). <br />Don't use a tourniquet. <br />Don't apply Ice. <br />Don't cut the wound or attempt to <br />remove the venom. <br />Wear long pants and long sleeves when <br />walking through heavy brush, tall grass, and <br />densely wooded areas. <br />Wear tall boots. <br />Turn over rocks and other things on the <br />ground with something that can provide <br />adequate distance in case a snake is <br />underneath. <br />If walking in tall grasses walk with a stick or <br />pole and poke the grass ahead of you. <br />FirgliwThiM • .1(4 4407. <br />44:7 .C4r' **--411VO4 <br />Eastern Coral <br />Prevention: <br />The SHSO will immediately transport the victim to the hospital or send for appropriate medical <br />assistance. <br />29
