San Joaquin County Environmental Checklist
construction and operation of a new waste disposal facility at a previously
undisturbed site. It is anticipated that the beneficial aspects of the project,
extending the life of an existing facility versus construction of a new facility at an
undisturbed site, would not induce substantial population growth in the area.
Imapct is less than significant. No mitigation is required.
b,c. The nearest residence is located on the landfill property, near the entrance.Five
residences are located within an approximately ]-mile radius of the landfill
property. Because the proposed project does not include a lateral (horizontal)
expansion of the existing landfill footprint, the project would not displace
existing housing units. There would be no impact and no need to construct
replacement housing elsewhere. Impact is less than significant. No mitigation is
required.
Notice of Preparation for the June 2006
North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill 2.66 ass 06307.06Permit Revision
