In accordance with 40 CFR,
Section 60.757 (b) we estimate the VOC emissions due to the refuse placed in 2006 is
approximately 29.5 Mg/yr (Table 1).
It appears that the regulatory limit will not be exceeded until 2014.
The County has installed a landfill gas collection and control system, which we expect to
be operational in the near future. Pursuant to 40CFR 60.757(b), we will be exempt from
submitting annual NMOL emission rate reports once this system is in operation.
Therefore this will be our final VOC emission report estimate for the facility in
If you have any questions, or if I have misinterpreted the regulations, please call me at
(209) 468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
