SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY Introduction Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Josh Elson of Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at 8458, 8450 and 8200 East Jahant Road and 23110 North Dustin Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1), owned by Joyce Saco, Theodore Leventini, Jeanette Shoup, Camillo Leventini, and Linda Alberti. The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. Proposed Development The Site will be divided into four new parcels, each approximately 40 acres in size (Plate 2). Site Description The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-050-13, -47, and a portion of -46; the property is approximately 160 acres in size. It is located at 8458, 8450, and 8200 East Jahant Road and 23110 North Dustin Road, Acampo, California. The Site is open agricultural land and vineyard. A modular home, an old house planned for demolition, a domestic well, and a pole barn are on the north side of the Site. Two irrigation wells are also present. A natural gas separator facility operated by Lodi Gas Storage is on the east side of the Site (Plate 3). The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is approximately 75 to 83 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). LOGE 2062 Page 1
