SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Josh Elson of <br />Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study <br />for the property located at 8458, 8450 and 8200 East Jahant Road and 23110 North <br />Dustin Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1), owned by Joyce Saco, Theodore Leventini, <br />Jeanette Shoup, Camillo Leventini, and Linda Alberti. <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br />Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Development <br />The Site will be divided into four new parcels, each approximately 40 acres in size <br />(Plate 2). <br />Site Description <br />The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-050-13, -47, and a <br />portion of -46; the property is approximately 160 acres in size. It is located at 8458, <br />8450, and 8200 East Jahant Road and 23110 North Dustin Road, Acampo, California. <br />The Site is open agricultural land and vineyard. A modular home, an old house planned <br />for demolition, a domestic well, and a pole barn are on the north side of the Site. Two <br />irrigation wells are also present. A natural gas separator facility operated by Lodi Gas <br />Storage is on the east side of the Site (Plate 3). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 75 to 83 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br />(Plate 4). <br />LOGE 2062 Page 1
