mmsuppm, <br /> Emergency Evacuation/Response Procedure <br /> Last Date Created/Modified:August 25, 2021 <br /> In the Event of a Gas Leak <br /> If an immediate hazard exists: <br /> 1. Notify the nearest supervisor or manager. Wear proper PPE as stipulated in the Safety Data <br /> Sheets (gloves, safety glasses, face shield) and If possible, stop the leak if there's no risk. <br /> 2. Avoid breathing gas. <br /> 3. Verbally warn all personnel in the area to evacuate. <br /> 4. Proceed to the nearest exit and gather on the north east side of the parking lot facing Newton <br /> Rd. (See Evacuation Route Map). <br /> If immediate danger is present: <br /> 1. Notify the nearest supervisor or manager. <br /> 2. Avoid breathing gas. <br /> 3. Verbally warn all personnel in the area to evacuate. <br /> 4. Proceed to the nearest exit and gather on the north east side of the parking lot facing Newton <br /> Rd. (See Evacuation Route Map). <br /> 5. If you are not able to stop the leak,then call 9-1-1. <br /> 6. Inform the proper agencies if the product has caused environmental pollution (sewers, <br /> waterways, soil or air). <br /> In the Event of an Oil Spill <br /> 1. Notify the nearest supervisor or manager. <br /> 2. Evacuation is not needed per the manufacturer. <br /> 3. Wear proper PPE as stipulated in the Safety Data Sheet (gloves, safety glasses,face shield, safety <br /> shoes). <br /> 4. SMALL SPILL: Use caution; spilled material may be slippery. Prevent spill from entering sanitary <br /> or storm water sewer systems. Use an absorbent material (Kleen Sweep)to absorb spilled <br /> product. While using a shovel, place the spilled oil/absorbent into a container for disposal. <br /> 5. Contact the licensed hazardous waste contractor(Safety Kleen Systems)for removal. <br /> 6. LARGE SPILLS: Use caution, spilled material is extremely slippery. Contain spilled material and <br /> prevent it from entering sanitary or storm water sewer systems. Under the EPA Clean Water <br /> Act, this product is classified as an oil under Section 311. Spills into or leading to surface waters <br /> that cause a sheen must be reported to the National Response enter. <br /> 7. Use an absorbent material (Kleen Sweep) to absorb spilled product.
