The backup method for reporting emergencies which requires evacuation include the following: <br /> • Group text message sent to each employee <br /> Evacuation Procedures <br /> Some emergencies require evacuation or escape procedures while others require employees to <br /> stay indoors or in a designated safe area. Our emergency escape procedures are designed to <br /> respond to many potential emergencies, depending upon the degree of severity. Nothing in these <br /> procedures precludes the Plan Administrator's authority in determining whether employees should <br /> remain inside or evacuate. <br /> At this company, the following types of emergency evacuations exist: <br /> • Fire <br /> • Earthquake <br /> • Hazardous Materials Release <br /> Our emergency evacuation procedures and assignments are designed to respond to many <br /> potential emergencies that require them, including: <br /> • Fire <br /> • Earthquake <br /> • Hazardous Materials Release <br /> Employees need to know what to do if they are alerted to a specific emergency. After an alarm is <br /> sounded to evacuate, employees should take the following steps: <br /> • Evacuate using the closest evacuation route indicated on the location's evacuation map <br /> (Appendix A). <br /> • Once evacuated, employees are to assemble at the closest exterior safe area indicated on <br /> the location's evacuation map (Appendix A). <br /> A head count will be performed, and further instructions given by the designated <br /> Evacuation Lead, Stacey Burks (am) and Devinder Walia (pm). <br /> • Per the location's Evacuation Map (Appendix A), the following is a list of exterior safe <br /> areas: <br /> o Area in SW corner of fenced yard, near gate <br /> • Immediately notify local emergency personnel (911) <br /> • Notify the General Manager who will notify all Company personnel. <br /> Procedures to Account for Employees <br /> Trained evacuation personnel assist in safe and orderly evacuation of all types of emergencies <br /> which require evacuation. Once evacuation is complete, a designated Evacuation Lead will <br /> conduct a head count at your location. The supervisors are trained in the complete workplace <br /> layout and the various alternative escape routes from the workplace. Before leaving, these <br /> employees check rooms and other enclosed spaces in the workplace for employees who may be <br /> trapped or otherwise unable to evacuate the area. <br /> This list indicates a sufficient number of employees who have been designated by the company <br /> and trained to: <br /> • Direct and assist in safe and orderly emergency evacuations. <br /> • Provide guidance and instruction for all types of emergency situations. <br /> Page 14 <br />
