The drilling <br /> area will then be flagged with warning tape and safety cones. <br /> 2.2 ABANDONED BORING <br /> Borings that are difficult to drill or do not encounter GW will be abandoned <br /> as determined in the field by SWD and a new boring will be drilled. <br /> Abandoned borings will be grouted with neat cement. <br /> 3.0 WELL CONSTRUCTION <br /> 3.1 INSPECTIONS <br /> Well installation will be in the presence of EHD inspector. SWD's <br /> Contractor will notify EHD Unit 6 inspector(s) at least two (2) working days <br /> in advance for the first inspection. Consecutive inspections needed for the <br /> project will be scheduled with EHD inspector on site after the first <br /> inspection. <br /> Inspections will be coordinated with EHD for the following work: <br /> 1. Well Installation <br /> 2. Backfill of abondoned borings <br /> Well installtation will be logged by SWD. <br /> 3.2 SCHEDULE <br /> SWD will schedule installation of the GW monitoring wells after approval of <br /> drilling permits. SWD anticipitates to begin the well installation project by <br /> end of December 2009. The project may involve six (6) working days with a <br /> work schedule of Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5.00 pm. <br /> 4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> 4.1 RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY <br /> The Contractor will be required to ensure work area meets all safety <br /> requirements. The Contractor will be solely and wholly responsible for the <br /> safety of his workers during this project.
