Providing wells accepted by the regulatory agencies as suitable for sampling <br />groundwater, as identified herein, is of the essence. <br />B. Contractor should use Mud Rotary or equivalent method for drilling and installing <br />groundwater monitoring wells. <br />C. Existing ground water monitoring well logs at the site are included in the bid <br />package as Appendix C. <br />D. Contractor shall be solely responsible for any damage to equipment, such as drill <br />rigs, drilling augers, rods, etc. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />Contractor shall submit the following submittals after approval of contract. <br />A. Well casing specifications, enclosure and well plug. <br />B. Drilling fluid additive, if used. <br />C. Bentonite description and particle size. <br />D. Valid professional license of Geologist. All minimum qualifications of the <br />Geologist shall be identified in the resume. <br />E. Copy of approved drilling permits from EHD before drilling <br />F. Submit completed well logs to the Engineer after the installation. The well logs <br />shall include a letter of certification by the Geologist. The deliverables to be in <br />PDF format. Well logs shall identify: <br />1. The lithology information and details of the boring.
