Intermediate cover shall be at least 12 inches of compacted earthen material. <br />b. Provide at least 12 inches of compacted earthen material between the solid waste and the pipe. <br />The EHD needs to be present when the site work takes place. Notify the EHD 48 hours in advance of <br />any site work. <br />Notes: <br />A. Because of the weather and muddy conditions the active face from previous day and the tops of module 1 <br />through 3 are not accessible. <br />B. About 2 feet of compacted soil was added to the southeast slope of the module 3 and covered with <br />straw matting (previous AC cleared). <br />C. Observed grinding operation at the green waste site east of module 4 at time of inspection. Facility is in the <br />process of getting grinding log from the contractor. <br />D. A line of cement K -Rails (30' high) placed north to south on the tipping floor at the transfer station. <br />Mr. Davenport, Foreman, stated that all personnel working on the tipping floor will leave the tipping floor <br />prior to the operation of the compactor. Compactor was not in operation at time of inspection. <br />E. According to Mr. Davenport, Foreman, no solid waste has been deposited at the south slope of module 3 <br />since November 2006, and no additional solid waste will be disposed until winter 2007. Compacted earthen <br />material at least 12 inches shall be placed on the surface of the fill where no additional solid waste will be <br />deposited within 180 days to control vectors, fires, odors, blowing litter, and scavenging. <br />F. Measured several perimeter soil gas wells for methane concentration: SG -1=0% (all three probes), SG - <br />2=0% (all three probes), and SG -9=0% (all three probes). <br />G.
