YRC Freight /Reddaway <br />Job Descriptions <br />Distribution Center Manager <br />General Description: The Distribution Center Manager manages all activities related to the functioning of the service <br />center in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals for operating <br />revenue, growth, and service for the service area. Establishes and maintains an effective relationship with the local <br />union, while also managing the service center staff to ensure that dock managers, service team managers, service <br />coordinators, planners, and other members of the service center staff are positioned properly, are well-qualified, and <br />compliant with the company and government regulations related to the working environment and safety. <br />Hazardous Waste Management Role: Trained to manage the Terminal Operations Manager, all Senior Operations <br />Managers (SOMs)/Dock Supervisors who are responsible for recognizing and supervising accidental release cleanup <br />operations and employee safety. Trained to manage reporting and supervises labeling of all debris and product drums <br />from accidental releases. <br />Qualifications: Trained on Facility Contingency Plans, hazardous material and waste management, hazard <br />communication (hazcom), labeling, manifesting, and reporting. <br />Training Frequency: Initial training and annual refresher training. <br />Terminal Operations Manager <br />General Description: The Terminal Operations Manager leads all activities related to the functioning of the service <br />center to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals for the service area. In <br />addition, the Terminal Operations Manager maintains effective relationship with the local union, dock managers, service <br />team managers, service coordinators, planners, and other members of the service center staff. <br />Hazardous Waste Management Role: Trained to manage all SOMs/Dock Supervisors who are responsible for recognizing <br />and supervising accidental release cleanup operations and employee safety.
