If the vacuum level has dropped 4" Hg or less from the starting vacuum level recorded in step 7, the annular space is airtight and no additional testing is required. If the vacuum level has dropped more than 4" Hg from the starting vacuum level recorded in step 7, check that the testing connections are airtight and repeat this procedure starting with step 2.
